50 for the 50: Giving to the legacy.
An anniversary is an exciting time for us to look back.
To honor the struggles of the first Black students who arrived on the University of Texas at Austin campus unwelcomed but undeterred from getting an education they deserved. To celebrate the tremendous growth that fosters an environment for students to learn skills they’ll use to change the world. It’s also a time to chart the way forward.
What will the next 50 years at Black Studies hold? To the four units that make up the Black Studies collective, it holds a future filled with students inspired by art, first-class teachers, and cultural connection, who will without question, change the world. Thanks to your support, we’ll work to realize this future every day.
Maybe you’re giving your first $50 for the 50th anniversary. Perhaps your deepening your commitment to $50 every month for the 50th anniversary. Every dollar is meaningful.
